Job Purpose
* Ensure you achieve customer account targets each quarter. Prepare, manage, and implement a personal sales strategy aligned with the annual sales objectives to develop the customer and product base.
* Take responsibility for your customers, resolving day-to-day problems.
Key Accountabilities
* Identify, prospect, and meet potential new clients by leveraging existing and new contacts at appropriate levels to increase business.
* Research industry trends, related events, publications, and announcements to identify ideas and opportunities.
* Plan sales approaches and pitches, understanding client needs, concerns, and objectives. Present to and consult with the management team on business trends to develop profitable new business.
* Participate in pricing solutions and services for clients that meet established margin expectations.
* Attend industry functions, events, and conferences; provide feedback and information on market trends.
* Act promptly on new business leads and provide weekly progress reports. Submit monthly management reports using the template provided by the Divisional Sales Manager.
* Provide sales forecasts and regularly update opportunities.
* Create a weekly activity plan.
* Prepare monthly reports on activity and sales performance.
* Liaise effectively with customer services, marketing, commercial, group businesses, transport, and all line management to ensure effective teamwork.
* Maintain a professional image at all times, protecting the company’s property, interests, and viewpoints.

Key Experiences
* Experience in Senior Sales, Sales Manager, or Business Development Manager roles is essential.
* Experience in the trade and retail sectors.
