The Company:
As specialists in fencing and vegetation management, we work with leading civil engineering contractors, highway authorities, and rail networks. Since 1996, we have focused on the railway industry and are now the principal fencing contractor on over three quarters of the railway network.
The role:
The post holder will undertake a wide range of arboriculture duties including felling (mechanised if applicable), pruning, lifting, reducing, and pollarding. The role involves climbing trees, working at heights, and ground work. The post holder is responsible for safe working practices and security of vehicles and equipment.
Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Perform tree surgery duties related to arboriculture maintenance, renovation, and improvement projects to a high standard following British standards.
2. Meet performance targets for team outputs.
3. Operate machinery safely in accordance with health and safety policies and risk assessments.
4. Maintain the security and proper use of machinery, tools, and equipment.
5. Suggest improvements in work processes.
6. Complete all required documentation accurately.
Requirements:
1. Relevant industry qualifications, such as 201(CS30), 202(CS31), 206/306(CS38), 308(CS39), at minimum.
2. CSCS/CPCS card (advantageous but not essential).
3. PTS card (advantageous but not essential).
4. Full UK driving license, preferably with trailer towing capability up to 3,500kg.
5. Experience in mechanised felling and processing techniques is advantageous.
6. Knowledge of tree inspection, diseases, and faults.
7. Ability to work outdoors in physically demanding conditions.
8. Understanding of risk assessment and safe work practices.
