FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / ACCOUNTANT
We are recruiting for a Financial Controller/ Accountant to work for our client who are in Shipley West Yorkshire.
As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, improving internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to senior leadership. This is a hands-on position with the opportunity to make a significant impact in a growing organization.
THE DUTIES:
* Oversee all financial accounting and reporting activities
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
* Manage cash flow and working capital
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
* Coordinate year-end audit and liaise with external auditors
* Support strategic planning and business decision-making through financial analysis
* Sales Ledger duties
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP)
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Sage) and advanced Excel skills
* Strong leadership and communication abilities
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
THE HOURS:
Working on days – Monday – Friday 8.30am- 5pm
THE PAY:
You will earn an annual salary of between £43k- 50k per annum depending on experience.
