About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Product Owner to join our Navigation Safety business and help to definition and deliver our AIS transceiver products. We need someone who has demonstrable experience working as a product owner for products that combine hardware and software, but that does not have to be in the marine industry. What You’ll Be Doing Act as Product Owner for our Transceivers development team. Evolve early product concepts into features that solve our user’s problems. Work in close collaboration with our development and teams to refine and prioritise product features. Communicate development progress, roadmap updates, and user insights clearly across the organisation. Develop your understanding of AIS and marine navigation technology to help you define solutions that work for our customers. Build strong relationships your stakeholders and ensure alignment across development teams. Collaborate with stakeholders, technical SMEs, and customers to define and refine innovative new features for our roadmap. Work with QA teams to ensure product quality and release readiness Train our Customer Success and Support teams on new product functionality. Oversee the creation of user guides and supporting product documentation. What You’ll Bring You have demonstrable experience working as a product owner for products that combine hardware and software. You have the skill to decompose broad product vision to a development roadmap and sprint backlogs. You can demonstrate a good understanding of best practice in Agile software delivery and the role of a product owner in that context. You’re comfortable working at pace, managing change and removing uncertainty. A clear and concise communicator, you can bring complex topics to a non-technical audience and infer requirements from non-technical stakeholders and users. You are pragmatic in your approach to Product Management and Agile delivery. You are decisive by nature, and act quickly to take ownership of issues and remove ambiguity. You’re able to clearly convey requirements in both formal requirements documentation and user story format. Any experience in the maritime or asset tracking domains is a bonus, as is experience with radio communications systems or IoT products. Some background in software development will be beneficial as you’ll need to hold your own in technical discussions with our team.
