Job Description
* Source and procure materials and components for industrial and manufacturing projects.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.
* Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to improve value for the business.
* Collaborate with project teams to understand and fulfil material requirements.
* Monitor supplier performance and address any issues impacting project timelines or budgets.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within the supply chain.
* Manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Buyer should have:
* Previous experience in procurement or supply chain within the industrial engineering or manufacturing sector.
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* Proficiency in procurement systems and tools.
* Knowledge of industry-specific materials and components.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and cost optimisation.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* The ability to read technical drawings is desirable.
