Role: Logistics Co-ordinator (Training Provided)
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 11am - 8pm
Salary: DOE
Full clean driving licence required
About the Role
An established logistics and transport organisation is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its onsite team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in transport, logistics, or freight operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating daily transport activities to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.
Reporting to the local management team, you will play a key role in managing import/export processes, documentation, and liaising with transport partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate day-to-day transport and logistics activities
2. Prepare and maintain accurate transport and shipping documentation, including export paperwork and final manifests
3. Handle Proof of Delivery (POD) processing and scanning
4. Plan, direct, and monitor import and export movements to ensure customer transit times are met
5. Book consignments onto internal and third-party freight systems
6. Ensure all files are fully costed, completed, and invoiced in a timely manner
7. Liaise with transport providers to ensure collection and delivery requirements are met
8. Maintain internal systems and records to support the movement of goods
9. Monitor performance metrics and assist with KPI preparation
10. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
11. Identify potential issues and escalate risks that may impact service levels or deadlines
12. Support the team with ad-hoc administrative and operational tasks as required
Requirements
13. Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or freight coordination role is desired, full training provided.
14. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
15. High level of attention to detail and accuracy
16. Confident communicator with strong customer service skills
17. Computer literate with experience using logistics or transport management systems
18. Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
