About the Role
We’re offering two exciting opportunities to join our growing Prevention, Information and Advice Team within the Adult Social Care and Prevention Directorate. As a Prevention, Information and Advice Lead, you’ll help shape how residents, professionals, and community organisations access and engage with vital information—especially through InformationNOW.org.uk, Newcastle’s trusted service directory.
You’ll also
* Manage and develop the InformationNOW website, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, and user focused.
* Promote the site through campaigns, outreach, and training to increase visibility and engagement.
* Champion digital inclusion and accessibility, ensuring all content meets best practice standards.
* Represent the service at strategic forums and contribute to wider service development.
* Analyse web analytics and user feedback to inform content strategy and improve user experience
What We’re Looking For
* We’re looking for proactive, motivated individuals who bring energy and creativity to the role. You should have:
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritising competing workloads.
* Experience in marketing, community engagement, or digital communications in public, voluntary, health, or education settings.
* Skills in website management and digital publishing.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Confidence using a range of methods to engage users—e-newsletters, social media, radio, podcasts.
* Understanding of local government, health, and VCSE sector dynamics.
