About the Role
At Morris Leisure we have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Assistant Park Managers to join the friendly team at our Oxon Hall Touring & Holiday Home Park, Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Main Purpose of the Job
As Assistant Park Managers, you will assist the Park Managers with the day-to-day operations of the park. This includes a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining the high standards of service that our guests expect. Previous experience in customer service or public-facing roles is advantageous, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
This role offers on-site accommodation in a static caravan, along with access to all park amenities. You will work on a permanent, full-time basis, with 41.25 hours per week spread flexibly over 5 days.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service at reception, including answering telephone calls, responding to emails, taking bookings, handling enquiries, and welcoming guests.
* Administration: Manage bookings and carry out administrative duties such as record-keeping and general office tasks.
* Retail: Oversee the park shop, including operating tills, cashing up, managing stock, and ensuring a high standard of shop presentation.
* Pitch Management: Assist with the pitching and setting up of units for guests.
* Local Tourism Support: Maintain tourist information displays, stock leaflets, and liaise with local businesses to promote regional attractions.
* Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the park, including inside and outside of buildings, toilet/shower blocks, and general areas.
* Grounds and Gardening: Carry out gardening and general maintenance tasks, including refuse collection, lawn care, and maintaining park grounds using provided equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
* A friendly, approachable demeanour and a sense of humour, with a passion for helping people.
* A commitment to providing the highest levels of customer service.
* A strong desire to maintain cleanliness and ensure a well‑kept environment.
* A practical, hands‑on approach to gardening, maintenance, and other tasks.
* Basic administration skills, including numeracy and computer literacy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook).
* Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently.
* The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
* A current UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.

Special Working Conditions
Due to the nature of the role, your working hours are flexible and will cover a variety of shifts, including days, split shifts, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and special events.
The role is offered to two individuals who can live and work together as 'job share partners' to cover the various duties and shift patterns.
