REF: EV53928 Job Title: International Financial Controller Industry: Education Technology (EdTech) Employment Type: Contract (Initial 6 Month Contract Basis, Starting ASAP) Location: London Salary Guide: £75,000 - £80,000 Benefits Our client, a global education technology business, is looking for an International Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience managing internal controls, processes and management accounts for a number of entities across the US and UK. The role is on an initial 6 month contract basis, starting ASAP. Description The duties and responsibilities of the International Financial Controller include, but are not limited to: Lead UK and US entities month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate, timely global consolidation, statutory reporting and accounts. Own end-to-end audit delivery for UK and Group, managing external auditors and ensure filing is on time. Oversee UK VAT and corporation tax compliance and coordinate with external US advisors on tax filings. Maintain rolling cash flow forecasting and weekly payment runs. Strengthen internal controls and standardise financial processes across UK and US entities, to improve efficiency and leverage automation to reduce manual errors. Manage and develop international accounting teams, coordinating workflows to support UK and US accounting requirements. Skills The skills of the International Financial Controller include, but are not limited to: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA or equivalent) with previous experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment. Experience working in tech, media or software is preferred. Team management experience. Strong technical background in financial reporting and consolidations, management accounts, and internal controls. Experience with accounting systems such as Planful, QuickBooks or Xero is advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
