About the Programme
The Integrated Foundation Year (IFY) programme at Royal Holloway teaches and supports up to 400 students per year across a broad range of disciplines. The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) strand is being expanded to enhance the foundation year experience with more discipline‑focused courses.
Role Requirements
The successful applicant will be an experienced and talented teacher with experience of teaching Foundation Year students in the Biological Sciences, particularly in biology. Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering high‑quality teaching in life sciences, including the use of R Studio to encourage statistical analysis.
* Providing personal tutoring and academic support to students.
* Adapting teaching methods to fit diverse backgrounds, with an inclusive, equitable approach.
* Supporting the foundation year experience through well‑planned discipline‑focused courses.
