The Governors, staff and children of The Gates Primary School wish to appoint an outstanding EYFS teacher to join our highly motivated and dedicated school team. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative EYFS class teacher who will make a significant contribution to the progress of our School. This will involve contributing to an extremely broad and exciting curriculum for our pupils, both during school and in their extra-curricular provision. This is a full time, fixed term position from 1 st January 2026 until August 2026 and may be extended for an additional 12 months until August 2027 for the right candidate.
The class teacher should:
* Be reflective, self-motivated and committed to the school.
* Be thoroughly professional and able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and build strong links with staff, pupils, parents, governors and the community.
* Demonstrate a real passion for teaching and learning and only accept the highest standards.
* Have a positive attitude and the highest expectations of pupils' attainment and behaviour.
* Have excellent experience, knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Curriculum.
* Have an interest in outdoor learning opportunities and outdoor provision enhancements.
* Have the ability to motivate and inspire staff, students and parents.
* Have a track record as a team player and make a positive contribution to wider school activities.
* Be resilient and reflective with a commitment to being the best possible teacher.
* Be enthusiastic and able to create an environment that is engages, inspires and allows children to make the most progress based on their starting points.
* Have current knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and provision for pupils with additional needs.
