The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

* HSEQ Officer

Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
* Create, monitor, and maintain procedures within the Quality Management System.
* Coach and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
* Plan and conduct audits, documenting successes and areas for improvement.
* Provide training on HSEQ topics to internal staff.
* Ensure company processes deliver their intended outcomes.
* Report on HSEQ performance and improvement opportunities.
* Promote customer focus across the organization.
* Maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement risk reduction strategies.
* Outline safe operational procedures considering hazards.
* Perform regular site inspections for policy adherence.
* Ensure safe and compliant working practices.
* Develop health and safety strategies and policies.
* Lead training sessions for managers and employees on QHSE topics.
* Keep records of inspections and incidents, producing reports with recommendations.
* Stay updated with legislation and industry developments.
* Attend relevant seminars and read professional journals.
* Produce reports, newsletters, and bulletins.
* Ensure safe equipment installation and hazardous substance disposal.
* Advise on specialist areas like fire regulations and occupational diseases.
* Manage emergency procedures, signage, PPE, and COSHH controls.
* Possess NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrate passion and robust knowledge in HSEQ subjects.
* Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in MS Office applications.
* Have a strong understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE regulations.
* Possess auditor training/experience.
* Be a proactive implementer of processes and change.
* Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel.
