Currently, we are seeking an organised, detail-oriented Asset Manager to join our team and ensure the smooth execution of events through efficient management of our warehouse.
The Asset Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of all company technical assets, ensuring efficient lifecycle management, accurate stock control, and continuous improvement in shortage resolution across the business.
This role leads a team of Stock Controllers and is accountable for maintaining robust asset management processes, implementing new technologies such as RFID, and ensuring scheduled stock takes, PAT testing, and compliance activities are delivered throughout the year.
The post-holder will work proactively with internal teams to drive efficiency, reduce asset-related disruption, and uphold quality standards across all warehouse operations.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Management
* Manage, develop, and support the team of Stock Controllers, ensuring consistent performance, training, and professional development.
* Oversee daily stock control operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to warehouse procedures.
* Provide leadership and cover for the Warehouse Management Team when required, escalating performance or disciplinary matters appropriately.
Shortage Resolution & Efficiency Improvement
* Own and lead the improvement of the shortage resolution procedure, ensuring issues are identified early, communicated clearly, and resolved rapidly.
* Analyse recurring shortages, identify root causes, and implement process improvements to prevent future operational disruption.
* Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, and Warehouse teams to streamline workflows relating to shortages, substitutions, and asset allocation.
Asset Management & Quality Oversight
* Maintain full oversight of all company assets, including allocation, movement, condition, quality, and lifecycle planning.
* Ensure maintenance, servicing, and testing of all stock (including PAT, LOLER, PUWER, and other compliance requirements) are scheduled, tracked, and completed within required timeframes.
* Oversee the organisation and accuracy of routine stock takes, annual stock audits, and ongoing inventory accuracy initiatives.
RFID & Technology Implementation
* Lead the planning and rollout of RFID (or other asset-tracking technology), working with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful implementation.
* Develop new processes and documentation to integrate RFID into daily warehouse operations.
* Monitor system performance, data accuracy, and user adoption, making improvements where needed.
Repairs, Consumables & External Coordination
* Oversee relationships with external repair partners, ensuring timely and efficient movement, repair, and return of equipment.
* Support the assessment and approval of parts purchases to minimise unnecessary sub-hire.
* Oversee the consumables stock control process, ensuring timely ordering, testing, replenishment, and delivery of consumables to venues.
Sub-Hires & Supplier Management
* Approve and manage sub-hire decisions for equipment shortages, ensuring cost efficiency and suitability for purpose.
* Work with suppliers to build strong relationships, ensuring reliable stock support when shortages occur.
General Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety obligations and promote a safe working environment.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with all departments to support smooth operational delivery.
* Undertake any additional duties required by the Warehouse Management Team to support the effective delivery of Warehouse services.
Other Relevant Information
* The Asset Manager may be required to undertake on-call duties during agreed periods, which may include occasional weekend, evening, or overnight work depending on operational needs.
