Finance Data Governance – Associate
Glasgow
The Glasgow Finance Division helps senior management and its individual business units manage the Firm's risk by implementing financial controls over our business activities. The division is crucial to safeguarding the Firm's franchise, reporting on current performance, and evaluating business opportunities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to deliver data governance for the Finance Division. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination of all governance deliverables across Finance, developing strong partnerships with Finance Systems Owners, Data Owners, Finance Data Governance leads, Finance Report owners, and the Firmwide Data Office.
Responsibilities
This is a key role within the Finance Divisional Data Office, responsible for the Data Governance framework for the Finance Division. Their responsibilities include:
* Data Governance — facilitating Finance-wide data governance processes by implementing key data principles and providing oversight in line with the Global Data Quality Policy and BCBS 239 execution.
* Systems Data Governance — implementing and executing systems governance standards, including lineage for Finance, managing system feed governance, and system dictionaries.
* Authority Data Sourcing — partnering with technology to ensure data sourced into Finance is from data authorities to enable improved data quality.
The ideal candidate will understand the importance of data to Finance and will be able to work effectively with various levels of business and technology stakeholders toward data governance goals.
Given the focus on data quality governance, this is a growing team in the Glasgow office and offers a great opportunity to shape the function and gain exposure to a wide range of functions, products, and management across Morgan Stanley.
