Job Title: EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30

Milk Education is excited to collaborate with a supportive primary school in Blyth that is looking for a passionate EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role focuses on supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), specifically those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). It offers an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in young learners’ lives.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher and additional support staff to provide tailored support for SEND pupils. You will play a vital role in ensuring these children remain engaged and make measurable progress in their learning. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, you will help foster a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the class teacher and support staff to create an inclusive learning atmosphere
Offer individual and small-group support for children with SEND
Encourage pupils to stay focused and meet their learning targets
Foster a nurturing and supportive environment for children with additional needs
What We’re Looking For:
Experience with EYFS and SEND (desirable)
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
Passion for working with children who have additional needs
Recent experience within the last two years working with children
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
Ability to work effectively under the direction of the class teacher
Reliability and punctuality
