Role Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Midwife to lead Maternity Digital Transformation at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and beyond.
This role will be working across both of our Maternity Units in Exeter and Barnstaple. There is some flexibility for home-based working; however, regular working on both sites is required.

The post holder will play a key role in leading maternity digital transformation at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and beyond. This will involve optimizing our Stork clinical system, developing workflows as part of the MY CARE programme, and working with our Epic Systems Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
The post holder will assess and review the maternity service digital requirements, seek to expand the digital profile, and support the integration of our digital systems. They will ensure all relevant digital services are optimized throughout the maternity service and women’s maternity pathway.
The Digital Midwife will champion digital transformation, promote cultural and behavioral change within clinical informatics, and maximize staff and stakeholder engagement.
The role focuses on building organizational capability for continuous improvement, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, and sustainable services for women and the community.
They will assist with data collection, produce reports to support clinical practice, and collaborate with clinical teams, IT, management, and Business Intelligence departments to ensure data accuracy for audits.
Working Pattern: hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Pay: Salary reflects Agenda for Change 5/6 rates, including a pay award to be implemented later this year. If you join before the implementation, the pay award will be backdated to your start date. Until then, remuneration is based on the 4/5 pay bands (NHS Employers).
