About Us
We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, supporting the safe operation of prisons and aiding in prisoner reintegration into society.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain steam boilers and water systems in compliance with regulations
* Ensure safety and efficiency of boiler operations
* Collaborate with other maintenance team members to support prison operations
Minimum Requirements
* Two years' experience as a steam boiler operator or equivalent
* Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
* Familiarity with BG01 safety standards for boilers
* Experience with commercial or industrial steam, heating, and water systems
* Qualified plumber (C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* BOAS accredited boiler operator course or equivalent
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
