This Business Line Manager role sits on the management team, reporting in to the GM. Youll be responsible for the P&L and for creating and implementing a sustainable sales & marketing strategy to maximise consolidated profitability and long term growth of the Power and Flow arm of the business, further strengthening the firms market position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Devise a sales & marketing strategy for Power and Flow current and future products
* Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for a new product line of pumps
* Define an annual pricing strategy for direct and indirect channels, maintaining excellent price management in order to support profitable growth
* Discount control and promotional activities
* Build and develop the customer base in both direct and indirect sales channels though key accounts, distributors, and major users
* Ensure an optimised product mix, giving each product its best chance in the market
* Reduce and maintain outstanding debtor days to agreed levels
* Ensure solid product training is in place for all sales engineers, support personnel and distributors/dealers
* Attract, lead, develop, retain, and inspire a strong, top performing team for now and the future
Skills & Experience
* Relevant University degree or the equivalent knowledge through experience
* Proven sales and management experience, with a competent level of technical knowledge in a related industry
* Results driven, with a good understanding of financials, including reporting and KPIs
* Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and influence a diverse range of people
* Must be based somewhere commutable to Portsmouth, where the companys office is located
