Commercial Gas Engineer | Bristol & South West
Location: Bristol / M4 & M5 Corridor (Field-based). Salary: Up to £51,166 per annum (DOE) + door-to-door pay.
We are looking for a skilled Gas Engineer living in Bristol or along the M4/M5 corridor with a background in Facilities Management or Construction, and a passion for high‑standard service delivery.

The Role
As a key member of our Gas Maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing top‑tier service to our high‑profile retail and supermarket clients. You won't just be a "number" – you'll be the face of Arcus on‑site.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver planned and preventative gas maintenance (PPM).
* Fault finding and reactive repairs to ensure client sites remain operational.
* Manage your workload via a real‑time digital system, ensuring tasks are completed within set service level agreements (SLAs).
* Maintain a professional image and ensure your company vehicle is kept in excellent condition.
* Report technical issues; you are not expected to be an expert in everything – you have the autonomy to call in specialists when needed.
About You
You are a customer‑focused engineer who enjoys working autonomously. You can handle a demanding workload with a calm, professional approach and possess excellent communication skills.
Essential Requirements
* Qualifications: Recognised Commercial Gas qualification and Gas Safe certification (both essential).
* Technical Knowledge: Strong HVAC knowledge and an understanding of commercial M&E service technologies.
* Experience: A proven track record within Facilities Management or Construction, ideally working on high‑profile retail contracts.
* License: A full UK driving licence is required.
* Flexibility: Comfortable with a 45‑hour working week and a 1-in-4 on‑call rota.
