The Role
This freelance role, lasting approximately three months, involves designing relevant teamwear apparel collections aligned with the commercial brief and product range plans. You will work on multi-product apparel for various teams, sports, and partners within our portfolio, collaborating with a hands-on teamwear team.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Design innovative sports apparel for stocked and made-to-order teamwear ranges, ensuring alignment with Castore standards and market needs.
* Create visual designs for multiple sports and channels, from traditional to progressive, to inspire customers.
* Lead insights discovery to identify market opportunities based on consumer needs and competition, sharing findings cross-functionally to develop suitable product ranges.
* Collaborate with product development and category management throughout the process to ensure design consistency from concept to delivery.
* Apply knowledge of garment construction, materials, and manufacturing to create functional, progressive designs for teamwear.
* Support marketing with the development of materials like catalogues and eCommerce assets to inspire and attract customers.
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in apparel design within similar environments.
* Degree in apparel design or related field preferred.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
* Understanding of sports apparel market trends, materials, and designs.
* Experience working cross-functionally to improve efficiency and results.
* Ability to interpret consumer insights and translate them into product propositions.
* Ability to work under strict deadlines and adapt to change.
* Comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
