Air Conditioning Engineer

The Air Conditioning Engineer will install, service, and maintain systems and equipment that regulate the quality, temperature, and humidity within buildings. The work may involve, but is not limited to:
1. Undertaking preparatory work.
2. Planning the placement of pipework, ducts, and control panels.
3. Installing HVAC components.
4. Inspecting, testing, certifying, and commissioning.
5. Performing quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely.
6. Identifying and rectifying faults.
7. Providing functional and technical information to customers.
8. Maintaining effective working relationships with fellow workers.
9. Overseeing work activities.
10. Surveying sites ahead of fitting heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems.
11. Carrying out maintenance on HVAC systems.
12. Carrying out minor plumbing maintenance work, including changing or repairing leaks and drains, trenching and laying of new lines, and unclogging of drains.
13. Carrying out minor masonry and carpentry work.
The job may involve working inside and outside, for example on the roofs of buildings, sometimes in cramped and uncomfortable positions. For some projects, ladders and scaffolding may be required.
Working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. The candidate will need to be flexible, as the hours worked will depend on the project, priorities, and deadlines. You may sometimes have to work at weekends and at night. While we base a working week's hours between 08:00 and 17:00, working hours can vary from one week to another.
