What you’ll be doing

Reporting directly to the Specialist Claims Operational Manager, you’ll be a visible leader to your team of Field Insurance Adjusters (FIAs). While this is a homeworking contract, you’ll spend a significant amount of time on the road visiting customer claims, carrying out side-by-side team audits, mentoring, and attending our offices across various locations nationwide.

With a strong focus on operational oversight, you’ll deliver great customer outcomes while making sure targets are achieved and governance requirements are met.

In this role, you’ll:

1. Lead and support a team of FIAs, managing end-to-end Home and Commercial claims.

2. Identify and promote best practices, driving continuous improvement for customers, suppliers, and the business.

3. Apply your industry knowledge and regulatory expertise to assess and categorise risk effectively.

4. Oversee FIAs’ property inspections, ensuring accurate loss identification, detailed reporting, and robust scopes of work.

5. Maintain compliance with policy requirements and Health & Safety standards.

6. Manage claim demand, productivity, and supplier instructions to deliver fair, cost-effective customer journeys.

7. Monitor repair progress and ensure operational targets are consistently met.

8. Resolve customer concerns within policy guidelines.

9. Drive governance and quality control by overseeing audits, feedback, and training completion.

What you'll need

10. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders.

11. Proven leadership and people management experience, with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.

12. Strong claims knowledge and a solid understanding of operational processes and products.

13. Analytical skills, including problem-solving, reporting, and presenting insights clearly.

14. Experience driving process improvements and delivering good customer outcomes.
