Overview
Occupational Health Nurse/Technician role at EDF UK, based at Dungeness B on a permanent basis. You will be the go-to expert for Occupational Health, offering guidance and support to employees across the site. The role involves working closely with staff, line managers, and HR, providing advice on statutory legislation and best practices. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on employee wellbeing and safety.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Conduct health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, and health assessments including drug and alcohol testing.
* Provide mental health advice and support to foster a culture of wellbeing across the site.
* Work autonomously to build trust and rapport with employees and help create a safe, supportive working environment.
* Implement and support occupational health programmes to prioritise employee health and safety and contribute to EDF UK’s Net Zero objectives.
Who You Are
* Solid foundation in healthcare with a commitment to continuous professional development.
* Minimum requirement: NVQ Level 3 in Care (or equivalent).
* For Occupational Health Technician: OHT qualification is desirable; if not held, support to complete within the first 12 months.
* For Occupational Health Nurse: must be a Registered Nurse.
* Understanding of medical confidentiality, ethics, and accountability.
Closing date for applications is 30 September. Interviews will follow shortly after. To be appointed, you will need to meet the criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC), which ordinarily requires British residency for the last 3 years.
Pay, Benefits & Culture
* Salary range: £35,059 – £42,383, with appointment based on Company Agreement parameters, salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
