A specialist education and life skills day centre is looking for a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join one of their busy care services for young people with moderate and severe SEN and complex needs. They setting currently provides support to 40+ individuals who have a range of needs and disabilities but are united by a love of life and learning. Their mission is to help those young people make life happen which is why your role as a support worker in this education centre vital in making that happen. This role is needed on a Part time, permanent basis starting ASAP. This role is needed Monday to Friday 9-2pm. (there is a option to start at 10am) This centre is open all year round so it is not a term time only role.

Supporting with life skills
Supporting with homework/ study/ educational activities
Promoting independence amongst the people we support
Supporting people we support with Personal care needs
Dealing with complex needs
Liaise with other agencies and families when necessary
Skills required for the role
Excellent communications skills to liaise with other agencies
Kind, nurturing and committed individual who is keen to support SEN learners
Experience working within the care sector ( desirable)
Eligibility to work in the UK
