Remote Senior Data Engineer - Outside IR35 - Palantir Foundry

* Freelance Contract - Outside IR35
* Initial 6-months + Extensions (multi-year project)
* Up To 450 Per Day (depending on experience)
We are working with a major insurance provider to build a new project team that will leverage Palantir Foundry to turn high-volume data into complex, high-value products and real-time analytics on a global scale.
This is ideal for mid- to senior-level engineers with hands-on experience working with Palantir Foundry, ideally with a background in the insurance domain (Life, Health, Home, Compensation).
What youll do...
* Design, build, and own Palantir Foundry data pipelines end-to-end.
* Write production-grade Python, PySpark, and SQL for ELT on large distributed datasets.
* Implement warehousing patterns with strong data quality checks and lineage.
* Translate insurance requirements into robust data products via Foundry Ontology.
* Diagnose pipeline issues and document workflows for repeatability.
* Collaborate in Scrum with analysts, SMEs, and engineers to deliver.
What were looking for...
* Strong experience in data engineering for large-scale distributed systems.
* Hands-on development experience with Palantir Foundry - this is a must
* Deep PySpark + Spark SQL skills
* Strong ELT/warehouse fundamentals and CI/CD mindset.
* Comfortable in Agile teams; clear communicator who owns outcomes.
* BONUS; experience in the insurance or financial services domain
