About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operational and Technical Assistant to join the Regulatory Services Partnership (RSP) supporting the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond, and Wandsworth.
As a key member of the Operational and Technical Support Unit, you will deliver an exceptional front-line service across various contact channels—handling queries from residents, businesses, and stakeholders. This role supports services such as Licensing, Food & Safety, Pest Control, Air Quality, Noise Nuisance, Private Sector Housing, and Trading Standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Responding to queries via phone, email, and face-to-face.

Processing applications, assessing documentation, and issuing licenses.
*
Inputting and maintaining accurate data in council systems.
*
Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
*
Processing payments and handling less complex regulatory cases.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a local authority or regulatory environment.
*
Strong customer service and administrative skills.
*
Ability to handle data entry and documentation with accuracy.
*
Confident dealing with members of the public and multi-agency teams.
*
Able to attend the Merton office 3 days per week
