Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join the South Lanarkshire Justice Service management team. We are seeking to recruit a full‑time team leader for our Unpaid Work Service for a temporary 6‑month period.


Key Details

* Location: Auchentibber Resource Centre, Blantyre
* Hours: 35 hrs per week, temporary until 30 October 2026
* Salary / Hourly Rate: £50,622 - £51,370, pay award from April 2026 £52,392 - £53,177

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the Justice Social Work team containing qualified Social Work staff and paraprofessionals.
* Supervise staff, allocate work, and conduct quality control and improvement.
* Chair multi‑agency meetings.
* Contribute to continuous development and improvement of Justice Social Work services and ensure effective delivery to national and local standards.
* Manage a budget, analyse data, and provide reports and feedback to senior managers.


Qualifications & Experience

* Sound knowledge and experience of working within a Justice social work setting.
* Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of managing or having management oversight of statutory Justice orders.
* Degree in Social Work (or relevant equivalent).
* Registered with the SSSC and current PVG and Disclosure checks completed.
* Experience or interest in leading and managing services, staff leadership and development, and supporting people in conflict with the law.
