Job Description
This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) based at our Chadderton, Oldham location.
The Assistant Financial Controller will work closely with the Financial Controller to develop and implement financial strategy for the Company and support the Senior Management Team in executing the Company strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and supervising the finance team to ensure effective operation
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date transactional records in accordance with Rotork Group control guidelines
* Collaborating with the Financial Controller on financial strategy development and implementation
* Ensuring compliance with Rotork Group accounting procedures (RGAPP and GAG) and addressing internal audit observations
* Reporting accounting information to the group via OneStream
* Implementing mechanisms for sales and cost reporting at product and customer levels
* Monitoring cash levels and ensuring proper forecasting to maintain targeted cash positions
* Assisting with business forecasts, QPRs, budgets, and variance analysis
* Qualifications: ACA/ACCA/CIMA
* Advanced IT skills, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros)
* Staff management experience (direct reports)
* Experience in a finance environment, preferably in engineering or manufacturing
* Experience with ERP systems
