IMPORTANT: This is a fixed term contract to provide maternity cover, expected to last approximatively 12 months.

Role Purpose:

As part of the Accounts Team you will facilitate the accurate and timely running of the accounts department by meeting input deadlines and supporting the team. You may have worked in the Construction industry previously and want to get back into this or are currently working in this area.

Accountabilities:

* Input & check purchase invoices on COINS

* Ensure all invoices have relevant level of approval prior to payment

* Raise weekly and monthly payments for CISTC & Natta Steel in line with payment terms

* Reconcile supplier statements to the ledger & request copies as required

* Answer e-mails and telephone calls relating to supplier queries

* Ensure invoices are entered in time for monthly costing report

* Raise monthly sales invoices for Natta Steel, CISTC & Surrey Training Group

* Check monthly staff expense claims prior to payment

* Assist the accounts team with processing as and when required

* Payroll & subcontractor payment cover

Credit control responsibilities –

* Manage and collect debts

* Evaluate new credit requests

* Respond to client enquiries & liaise with sales team

* Raise monthly statements

* Post receipts to customer accounts

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Experience in an office/administrative role

Strong Maths & IT skills

Ability to form working relationships with suppliers and build relationships at all levels

DESIRABLE SKILLS

Knowledge of the construction industry.

Use time management to structure time, set goals, prioritise workload, observe results and increase effectiveness and efficiency.

The ability of using teamwork towards a common vision and goal.

Administering payroll and dealing with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) payments would be an advantage but not essential.
