Overview
TeacherActive is looking for an English Teacher to join a well‑respected mainstream secondary school in Derby on a full‑time, long‑term contract starting immediately. The role covers Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including exam preparation for GCSEs, and focuses on helping students achieve excellent results while following and implementing the schemes of learning.
Responsibilities
* Teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE preparation.
* Implement the school’s schemes of learning and support students in achieving high achievement.
* Work with colleagues to promote student engagement and well‑being.
Qualifications
* QTS with English specialism (ECTs are also welcomed).
* Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
