Job Title: Unlicensed Aircraft Engineer
Job Details
Perm 2-tier, newly qualified minimum 18 months experience, shift uplift,
4 years experience plus £41,085 salary plus shift allowance £2,720.
Shift Pattern: Days 7-7, 5x5x4.
Job Purpose
The role involves performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with Technical Documentation & Company Procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out aircraft maintenance tasks as directed by Hangar Foreman, SLE or LE, assisting other staff to ensure safe and effective practices.
2. Book tasks and advise if additional time is needed.
3. Move heavy equipment, tooling, and spares around the site (forklift training provided).
4. Assist with aircraft cleaning and maintain a clean environment.
5. Service aircraft toilets and contain fuel/oil spills.
6. Assist with aircraft manoeuvring.
7. Manage waste separation and recycling.
8. Charge scissor lifts and service batteries.
9. Maintain vehicles and check fluid levels.
10. Report safety concerns immediately.
11. Ensure equipment is maintained and report faults.
12. Perform additional team responsibilities and offsite support as required.
13. Stay updated with all safety notices.

Understand safety and security responsibilities, including those related to aviation safety, security policies, and management responsibilities.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Over 3 years aircraft industry experience or recognized apprenticeship with at least 1 year aircraft experience and 12 months service.
* Competency assessment completed satisfactorily.
* Effective team working and ability to work unsupervised.
* Good aviation safety awareness and communication skills.
* Ability to operate a powerset (GPU).
Desirable Skills
* Previous aircraft or comparable trade experience.
* Experience working at an operational aerodrome.
