We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to join our Managed Services team. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide operational support to Managed Services clients and staff, manage service tenders and pricing, and play a key role in strategy planning and forecasting. You will also support presales bid management and costing and contribute to operational management within workplace or data centre technology environments. This role will work closely with Service Delivery Directors, Sales Directors, and other operational leaders to ensure alignment of delivery strategies, processes, and procedures. You will be expected to foster strong relationships with key customer stakeholders and internal teams, and support continuous improvement across the Managed Services division. What you’ll be doing as our Operations Manager: Provide operational support for Managed Services clients and staff, ensuring high standards of service delivery and operational excellence. Lead the management of service tenders, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations for new and existing contracts. Assist in the development and execution of Managed Services strategy, including forecasting, planning, and reporting. Support pre-sales activities, including bid management, solution design, and costing for new business opportunities. Work with Service Delivery Directors and Sales Directors to develop existing accounts and expand service offerings. Understand the unique operational needs and challenges of each designated account and develop customised operational strategies. Foster deep relationships with key customer stakeholders and internal teams. Meet and exceed financial and margin expectations at account and project level. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement; analyse existing processes and workflows to optimise operations. Manage and allocate resources efficiently, including budgeting and resource planning. Oversee inventory and supply chain management, ensuring timely availability of materials and resources. Support recruitment, training, and management of operational staff, setting clear KPIs and performance expectations. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to help team members achieve their goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and resources. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including Health & Safety and ISO governance. Implement and maintain safety protocols to create a secure working environment. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to optimise costs and improve service quality; negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms. Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of Managed Services accounts. Communicate client feedback and insights to relevant teams for continuous improvement. Establish key metrics to measure the progress and impact of operational activities. What we’re looking for in our Operations Manager: Proven experience in operational management within workplace or data centre technology fields. Particularly related to the Financial Services business sector. Strong background in pre-sales bid management and costing with demonstrable experience managing service tenders and pricing. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with clients. Experience in process improvement and resource management. Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and forecasting skills. Knowledge of Health & Safety and ISO governance.
