Learning Support Assistant & Site Manager (split role)
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000
Contract: Full time, permanent
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Morning Role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
You will:
* Work 1:1 with vulnerable pupils, supporting their learning, emotional regulation, and engagement
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children who need consistency and care
* Support classroom activities alongside the class teacher
* Adapt approaches to meet individual needs, including SEND and SEMH
* Be a calm, steady, and positive presence in a busy classroom environment
This part of the role requires patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping children thrive.
Afternoon Role: Site Manager
You will:
* Take responsibility for the general upkeep and maintenance of the school premises
* Carry out basic repairs, DIY tasks, and preventative maintenance
* Ensure the site is safe, secure, and well‑presented
* Manage small projects and liaise with contractors when needed
* Support with health & safety checks and site compliance
This part of the role suits someone practical, proactive, and resourceful – someone who enjoys solving problems and taking pride in their environment.
Who We're Looking For
This role is ideal for someone who:
* Has experience working with children (school‑based experience is a bonus)
* Has strong DIY or maintenance skills
* Is adaptable and enjoys variety in their day
* Can switch confidently between nurturing support and practical tasks
* Is calm under pressure, organised, and reliable
* Takes initiative and ownership in both roles
