Key Purpose of the role
We are looking for an exceptional and creative Head of Product Development & Innovation to support our ambitious growth plans. As part of the Commercial team you will develop first to market, world class profitable products of the highest quality. Supported by our product manager and working closely with sales and marketing you will manage existing product development and drive the new product development agenda. You will work with our most strategic channels such as Global Travel Retail and with some of our biggest customers including, Harrods, Selfridges & John Lewis.
Core role objectives
* Support double-digit revenue growth within core National, International and Global Travel Retailers, through the development of existing and new products plus first to market innovation.
* Generate a pipeline of new products to suit a variety of different markets, customers and occasions.
* Develop insight lead innovation.
* Focus on occasions and develop a range of show stopping seasonal products with a particular emphasis on Christmas.
* Develop a long-term product plan in conjunction with our overarching commercial strategies.
* Lead, manage and develop a product and technical team consisting of 3 direct reports.
* Work closely with the marketing team for ongoing Market analysis: Market research, customer insight, trends and competitor tracking integrated into NPD process and marketing campaigns
* Manage and optimise budgets to land products in line with agreed critical paths.
* Track, analyse and report on product development metrics and business KPIs

Do you have what it takes?
* 5+ years of product development with a major brand or high-growth business.
* A strong creative flair coupled with commercial acumen.
* Thrive working with people and build strong relationships across multiple functions.
* Strong presentation skills to present to both internal stakeholders and customers.
* Adept at managing multiple high-paced workstreams and projects across diverse activities with tight deliverables
* Confident and trustworthy, excellent communication, and a talent for delivering results through people
* Experience in Bakery product development is desired including competence in manufacturing trials.
* Office-based desired, with some opportunities for hybrid working
