Working on behalf of Sheffield city council you will be assisting service users, Parents, Teachers and your driver in the safe transportation of children and young adults with additional needs from home to school or day centres, and then the return journey.
Your duties will include amongst other duties
•To support the driver and parents to assist passengers to board the vehicle.
•To lift children into special seats and to make sure they are correctly secured
•To respond to the service users during the journey, and to comfort service users in distress.
•To be responsible for Messages, Monies, and Medication from parents & carers during the outbound journey, and from teachers to parents on the return journey.
•A great level of communication is key!
