Responsible for the day-to-day running of the area, ensuring that staff are available and trained to run the service.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure rotas are covered, allocate work to catering assistants, and liaise with management to maintain service continuity during staff shortages. Prioritize urgent requests and authorize overtime within the budget.
2. Train staff in basic job skills under management's guidance.
3. Provide health and safety training, including cascade and monthly toolbox sessions. Ensure staff comply with mandatory training such as COSHH, and arrange training attendance.
4. Conduct toolbox training, record training on appropriate documents, and contribute to developing training sheets.
5. Carry out staff appraisals.
6. Promote health and safety compliance and ensure staff adhere to current practices.
7. Ensure staff perform duties to the required standards, address performance issues, and escalate concerns to management.
