Your new role
As an Independent Reviewing Officer, you will be responsible for chairing up to four or five Child Protection Conferences per week, most of which will be held face-to-face. You will also conduct Looked After Children (LAC) reviews, where you will be expected to take your own minutes. The role involves auditing casework and ensuring statutorypliance.
You will be based at the Chelmsley Wood office, with the flexibility to work from home when not attending meetings. The role requires someone who is confident, experienced, and able to hit the ground running.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer within children’s social care. A strong understanding of child protection legislation and statutory guidance is essential as you must be confident in challenging practice, able to work at pace, andmitted to delivering high standards.
The role requires a full driving licence and the ability to travel to face-to-face meetings and current DBS will also be needed.
