We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in network engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 protocols, Wireless protocols and a solid background in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. A CCNA certification (or similar/higher) obtained within the last 5 years is required, and an understanding of SD-WAN and SASE is highly desirable. This is a remote role, with occasional travel to stations as needed. A full UK driving license is required.

This role involves static working hours of of 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM (GMT/BST) Monday to Friday
Additionally, the successful candidate will be part of an on-call rota (1 week in every 5 weeks) to provide out-of-hours support as required.

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across various layers and platforms (Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 protocols, wireless, AWS and Azure).
Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure optimal performance and security.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other systems and applications.
Implement and manage Meraki, Ubiquiti and SASE solutions for improved network flexibility and security.
Provide support for network-related incidents and requests tickets, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.
Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
Travel to stations for on-site support and network installations when required.
Stay up to date with emerging networking technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a network engineering role.
In-depth knowledge and experience with Layer 2, Layer 3, and Layer 4 networking protocols (e.g., Current CCNA or similar/higher certification (obtained within the last 5 years).
Proficiency in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines.
Full UK driving license and ability to travel to stations as required.


Experience with cloud networking, automation, or security solutions.
Experience with Ubiquiti networking and security solutions.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
