Overview

We have an exceptional team at Willows with a range of specialisms and disciplines. As an ICU RVN you will work predominantly within the intensive care unit but will have opportunity to work within our other teams. Within this role you will have exposure to a wide range of complex cases as well as emergency work. This will allow you to develop advanced nursing skills such as central line placement and thoracic drain care and work with equipment such as intensive care ventilators.

Qualifications / Requirements

* A registered veterinary nurse with at least 1 year post registration experience.
* A passion for specialist nursing and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
* A collaborative mindset, keen to progress but willing to collaborate when needed.
* A supportive figure, confident in providing support where needed (e.g., students, residents, interns, visiting veterinary surgeons).
* Previous referral experience is desirable, but not essential; comprehensive training and support will be provided. We require at least 1 year of qualified experience; if you are newly qualified, we can consider your application but you will be required to join our post-registration programme for your initial year.

Our service teams include orthopaedics, neurology, ophthalmology, internal medicine, clinical nutrition, oncology, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, dermatology, Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), anaesthesia and analgesia, diagnostic imaging and physiotherapy. In-patient care is a priority and includes 24-hour veterinary and nursing cover, with support from a team of emergency vets and Interns. Our hospital facilities are of the highest quality, including on-site Siemens 64-slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, two in-theatre mobile image intensifiers, two digital radiography rooms, ultrasonography, electro diagnostics, video endoscopy and an extensive range of advanced surgical equipment.
