As a Mechanical Fitter, you will:
Assembly and installation: Fit and assemble mechanical systems, sub-assemblies, and components like gas turbine engines, gearboxes, and generators according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed assemblies
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Maintain a safe and tidy work environmentEssential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailDesirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
While not mandatory, the following will be advantageous:
Experience in a similar industry
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Basic welding or fabrication skills
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in engineeringTechnologies:
Mechanical assembly tools
Diagnostic equipment
