About the Role We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading chilled food manufacturer, currently seeking an experienced Line Leader to join their production team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, driven professional to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume chilled food environment. As Line Leader, you will be responsible for managing a team on the production floor, ensuring daily targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality. Your leadership will directly impact the efficiency, safety, and consistency of production output. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and support a team of operatives on the production line. Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all food safety standards at all times. Monitor team performance, including productivity, timekeeping, and training compliance. Ensure daily production plans are completed on time and in full, escalating any issues as needed. Complete and review production paperwork accurately and to audit-ready standards. Support pre-production setup and contribute to the smooth rollout of new product launches. Work collaboratively with management to address and resolve any production challenges. Maintain proper use of equipment and report any defects or safety concerns promptly. Contribute to internal audits and assist with implementing corrective actions. Promote fairness in task allocation and help build a strong, engaged team culture. What We're Looking For At least 2 years' experience in a similar supervisory or line leader role within food production—ideally in fresh produce or chilled food manufacturing. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Solid working knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and production compliance. Strong organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and professional approach. Confident using Microsoft Office and production systems for reporting and documentation.
