We are looking for a web and accessibility officer in our digital team to play a lead role delivering improvements to our website content for residents.
The council's website is the front door to our services and used millions of times a year by the residents of North Yorkshire. Following the eight former councils across the county coming together to form North Yorkshire Council, we are continuing to restructure and rewrite our content as we replace multiple systems with single solutions.
With support from the team leader, you would be responsible for leading content rewrites for areas of the website as the processes, systems and contacts are converged as part of major service transformation projects.
Showing a passion for writing and delivering excellent and effective content you would act as a champion for our residents and their customer journey to ensure the new content enables them to access information and services as easily and effectively as possible.
What can we offer you?
In addition to your salary, we offer a range of great benefits to help you financially and make life a bit easier.
These include:
* a local government pension scheme with 18.1% employer contribution
* salary sacrifice schemes
* employee discount benefits including shopping, supermarkets, gym discounts and more
* travel loans
* Health Assured – confidential help and support for your wellbeing
