We are looking for an experienced senior M&E delivery project manager for Hinkley Point C, the nuclear power station in Bridgwater, Somerset. Here you will ensure that all installations are carried out with the maximum efficiency and to the highest quality and to the company's standard on all key issues, co-ordinating with the Project Management team and engineering team to ensure successful M&E delivery to a defined cost, time and quality requirements.

Key Deliverables and Accountabilities
* Responsible for delivering in a safe and efficient manner, covering all stages of the project life cycle (conception to handover). This will be achieved by working with other members of the programme team in an integrated manner to ensure overall programme performance (including design, procurement, project controls and contract administration).
o Responsible for budget and output performance and reporting to the M&E Project Lead.
o Prepare and submit standardised reports to the M&E Project Lead that include, but not limited to, current status of: out-turn costs, milestone completion dates and timely resource demands.
o Accountable for the effective management of all aspects of the project life cycle including design, construction, commissioning and hand over to the Client, all in compliance with: agreed commercial criteria, milestone dates including contract commencement and completion dates, current Health and Safety legislation including CDM Regulations
o Contribute to a cohesive team environment thereby mitigating the potential for conflict and dispute, and maximising the team's ability to achieve cost and time benefits.
o Monitor performance of consultants and contractors and act where necessary in respect of both their project management and delivery.
o Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
* Implement Safety Management Systems and personally set the standard of zero tolerance of unsafe practices and occurrences.
* Support implementation of line HR policies and practices.
* Create an environment for exceptional team performance.
* Ensure the teams, roles, skills and behaviour are aligned with the LOR objectives and project requirements.
* Optimise resource utilisation and eliminate waste wherever possible.
Technical Capabilities
* Able to demonstrate an extensive track record of project/business delivery within the construction or related industries
* Should have the capability of understanding the complexity of a Major Project and believe in its value and future success
* Previous M&E delivery a distinct advantage
* Sound commercial judgement
* Understanding of H&S legislation
* QA Systems and Process
Relevant Experience
* A sound appreciation of the commercial implications of project delays.
* Experience of multiple projects and different roles within them (such as managing packages).
* A strong technical capability in applying construction methods and optimising the use of construction plant and equipment.
* 8 years plus site-based experience.
* 5 years as a supervisor and/or supervisor of supervisors
* Ability to drive a large-scale project
