Job Title: Unqualified Behaviour Teaching Assistant (Secondary Alternative Provision)
Location: L4, Liverpool
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Negotiable)
The Role
We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and proactive Unqualified Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2025. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, looking to make a difference in an alternative setting without necessarily holding a formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities
* Support students in and out of the classroom with behaviour regulation and engagement.
* Assist teaching staff in maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students who may display emotional or behavioural difficulties.
* Implement de-escalation strategies and consistent behaviour management techniques.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support where needed to keep students focused and safe.
Requirements
* Experience working with young people with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or in an alternative provision - highly desirable.
* A calm, confident, and assertive approach to behaviour management.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
* Willingness to learn and work as part of a supportive team.
* Team Teach training is a strong advantage
