We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, and organised Warehouse Operative to join our team. You will play a key role in preparing stock, maintaining a safe and tidy warehouse, and ensuring timely parcel shipments.
Key ResponsibilitiesStock Preparation
* Accurately pick, pack, and prepare stock for shipments based on customer orders.
* Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor.
* Arrange stock efficiently to facilitate easy access and accurate order fulfillment.
Warehouse Maintenance
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse by sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and caring for equipment.
Timely Parcel Shipments
* Prepare and label parcels for dispatch, ensuring compliance with courier requirements (e.g., Royal Mail Tracked24).
* Collaborate with the team to meet daily shipping deadlines, prioritising urgent orders for on-time delivery.
* Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and coordinating with couriers.
Additional Duties
* Participate in inventory audits and stock counts as required.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
* Promptly report issues such as damaged goods or delays to maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
* Basic proficiency in English, numeracy, and literacy for inventory and labelling tasks.
* Physical ability to lift and move stock (up to 25kg) and stand for long periods.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
* Right to work in the UK (proof required, e.g., passport, visa).
Desirable
* Prior experience in warehouse or logistics roles (e.g., picking, packing, or shipping).
* Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Working Hours
* 13 hours per week, 11:30 AM–3:30 PM, 3 days per week.
* Shifts alternate weekly: Monday, Wednesday, Friday one week; Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday the next.
* Occasional extra hours may be required during the week or on weekends.
* Bank holidays are standard working days.
