Description
We are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join our growing team in Ashby-De-La-Zouch. This role is a key part of our finance function, supporting the Financial Controller in producing accurate, timely financial information and ensuring efficient accounting processes across the business. You will play an important role in developing financial reporting practices and contributing to projects that support the ongoing growth and improvement of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
Contribute to the continued development of internal reporting frameworks to meet business needs.
Assist with intercompany reconciliations and monthly balance confirmations.
Prepare and review statutory payments including Corporation Tax, PAYE, and VAT to ensure deadlines are met.
Assist in preparing audit information, liaising with auditors, and supporting audit deliverables.
Update and reconcile bank accounts daily, assisting in cash forecasting and working capital management.
Support and oversee the Accounts Assistant with purchase ledger processing, ensuring ledgers are accurate and complete.
Take ownership of specific office ledgers, including invoice processing and payment run reviews.
Manage import and reconciliation of sales invoices and receipts between systems.
Provide monthly receivables and payables summaries for the Hub.
Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and process improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
AAT Qualified and/or Part-Qualified CIMA/ACCA
Additional Requirements
Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across teams and departments.
Intermediate Excel user with good IT literacy.
Knowledge of IFRS desirable.
Experience using Xero and NetSuite advantageous.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on accuracy and improvement.
