Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit excellent Teaching Assistants interested in securing a role. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the life of a young person, providing tailored academic and emotional support within a secondary school setting.
Teaching Assistant
1. Location – Formby, L37
2. Type of work – Temp, long term
3. Start date – As soon as possible
4. Full time/part time – Full time
5. Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
Responsibilities:
6. Assisting with lessons: Helping sort materials, setting up equipment, and supporting students during lessons.
7. Behaviour management: Foster a positive learning environment with good behaviour management.
8. Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
9. Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
10. Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required
11. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and students thrive academically and socially.
Requirements:
12. Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
13. Previous experience working with young people.
To be eligible:
14. Hold Right to Work in the UK
15. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
16. Provide two professional references/cover the last 2 years
