HGV Technician - Stoke Area
My client is looking for a HGV Technician just outside of the Stoke Area.
Package Details:
1. £19.00 per hour, plus enhancement payment of up to £ per month based upon your qualification level
2. 40 hours per week
3. Monday - Friday, rotating weekly shift pattern of 06:00 - 14:30 / 13:30 - 22:00
4. 23 days' holiday each year, plus bank holidays

Accountabilities:
21. Performance of all services according to the manufacturer's instructions and according to the schedule/service processor.
22. All visual inspections, adjustment operations, adjustments, operating fluid changes and additions, replacement of worn equipment (e.g. brake linings).
23. Knowledge of deviations and extraordinary wear occurrences and initiation of order expansions/feedback to customers.
24. Resetting of the maintenance system.
25. Cleaning and care of the customer vehicle.
26. Repair work.
27. Self-reliant performance of simple repairs of worn parts (e.g. replacement of mufflers, outside mirrors, tyres and balancing, etc.).
28. Performance of defined, but also more extensive, assembly work and repair operations in cooperation with and/or under the supervision of Systems Technicians (e.g. major assembly replacement, suspension strut placement, etc.).
29. Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body components.
Skills and Competencies Required:
30. Prior experience in a similar role, in a similar industry or main dealership (desired).
31. Full City & Guilds qualifications required - certified technician in an automotive service field (essential).
32. UK Driving Licence (essential).
33. HGV Licence (desired).
34. Analytical thinking - ability to analyse and synthesise a wide range of information in order to draw conclusions or make decisions.
35. Customer orientation - ability to focus on the needs of the customer in the execution of the role and works to deliver customer satisfaction.
