Family Contact Worker
Location: Dudley
Pay: £14.36 per hour
Hours: Monday - Saturday, 09:00 - 17:30
Session Length: Typically 1.5 hours
About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Contact Worker to support supervised family time sessions with children and families. This role plays a vital part in safeguarding children while promoting positive, safe, and meaningful contact between children and their families.
You will work with children from new-born to 18 years, delivering sessions in contact centres, community settings, and family homes.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake supervised family time sessions with children and families
Always safeguard children and families, reporting concerns promptly to the allocated Social Worker
Lone work with families across contact hubs, community venues, and family homes
Directly supervise and observe interactions during family time sessions
Provide practical and emotional support to children and parents to ensure sessions are positive and child-focused
Maintain professional boundaries and accurate session records
Work flexibly to meet service needs and carry out other reasonable duties as required
What We're Looking For
Experience working with children, young people, and families (paid or voluntary)
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
Ability to work independently and manage lone working responsibly
Calm, empathetic, and professional approach
Flexibility to work across weekdays and Saturdays
