Workshop Plant FitterLocation: Horton Heath (Eastleigh/Southampton)Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 DOEHours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 4:00pm
NEOS Engineering are currently working with a well-established and reputable organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work with a wide range of heavy construction plant in a stable, days-only role.
The Role
As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of heavy construction plant machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintenance, and repair of heavy construction plant machinery
* Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs
* Complete planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
* Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
* Work collaboratively within the workshop team to meet deadlines
The Candidate
* Previous experience working on heavy construction plant or similar machinery is essential
* Strong mechanical knowledge, with hydraulic and electrical fault-finding experience advantageous
* Relevant engineering or plant qualifications are beneficial but not essential
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship
